Social commitment

We are social.

“People are at the heart of what we do” is the motto by which we embody our social responsibility towards our employees, fellow members of society and our region. We show social responsibility both internally and externally and support regional projects in particular. But see for yourself:

Instead of the usual promotional presents for our customers, RECA NORM has been donating to the SOS village community in Hohenroth at Christmas since 2013.

The donation is used for current and upcoming projects to guarantee that the residents can continue to live in their familiar surroundings and family, carefree. Some of the social projects we have contributed to include the redesign of a café, the construction of a large kitchen in a centre for people with greater assistance needs, the construction of two new residential group homes for people with special support requirements, the construction of a greenhouse and the renovation and modernisation of a metal workshop.

Since the Villages association is also responsible for the management of forests, fields and meadows, our financial assistance of EUR 25,000 that we donated in 2023 will support the procurement of an multi-equipment vehicle, which will in future be used to transport food balls as well as hay and straw bales.

The Gambia
The Gambia

For RECA NORM, social responsibility now plays an important and indispensable role.

RECA assists the organisation Christliche Humanitäre Hilfe Gambiahilfe through the regular provision of tools and financial support. This is enabling the establishment of an on-site training centre for craft professions.

Our trainees are also aware of this social responsibility.
They support Gambiahilfe-Hohenlohe e.V. in raising money for the education of children and young people in Gambia. The money is used, for example, to provide teaching materials and books, while technical training is supported by our products.

Menschen in Not (People in Need)

Menschen in Not is a relief association formed in 1970 with the support of the readership of the Heilbronner Stimme newspaper. The association supports people and families who are particularly in need or who have found themselves in emergency situations.

Numerous social organisations are provided with an assistance fund, which enables them to support their clients quickly and without bureaucracy throughout the year. Certain projects are regularly declared a priority in order to prevent emergency situations and to provide opportunities for self-help.

This project is very close to our hearts at RECA NORM because 100% of the support benefits regional organisations and therefore supports people in our area.

Campus
Campus SHA

Heilbronn University, Schwäbisch Hall Campus

RECA is a benefactor and sponsor of the Schwäbisch Hall campus. RECA attaches great importance to young talent. For this reason, RECA has been financially supporting the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences Schwäbisch Hall Campus for more than 10 years. RECA thus makes a contribution to the economic region of Heilbronn-Franken.

Excursions, specialist lectures and company contact fairs provide students with their first insights into what is happening in the economy. RECA also offers students the opportunity to complete their practical semester in the company and to write their Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis on a topic related to their course of study.

Working students support TEAM GREEN with projects in the individual areas. “At RECA you are welcomed with open arms. The colleagues are there to help and advise you,” they conclude.

Since March 2022, RECA has been involved as a partner in the topic of car sharing and also supports sustainability. Here, students who do not have good connections to public transport have the opportunity to use the car sharing service.

RECA offers insights into the professional world

There is close, contractually-defined collaboration between RECA and the Johann-Friedrich-Mayer school in Kupferzell, the Hohenlohe secondary school in Öhringen and the vocational business school in Schwäbisch Hall.

The objectives of these cooperative arrangements are to maintain long-term, continuous and sustainable cooperation, as well as to promote the exchange of information and experience between trainers and teachers.

This is intended to enable schools to better prepare their students for their career choices, as well as for their further training and the world of work. Students are also familiarised with training opportunities and possible professions. Job application training and a visit to RECA in Kupferzell also form part of the cooperation project.

Special Olympics
Special Olypmics

RECA NORM supports Special Olympics Baden-Württemberg.

The organisation helps to support people with mental and physical disabilities in their sporting activities, following the motto: Exercise is fun and improves quality of life.

RECA provides trainees who support the sports activities and competitions, accompany stations and athletes and gain valuable experience.

TSV Kupferzell
TSV Kupferzell

TSV Kupferzell is a sports club near our company headquarters. Through their work across many varied disciplines (youth football, men’s football, basketball, jazz dancing etc.) they perform an important social function in the district of Kupferzell and, especially through their youth work, they contribute to a better society. It is therefore important for us to support this commitment.

Seniors Transport

RECA | CONNECTS. PERFORMS. INSPIRES.

True to this motto, the new senior citizens’ mobile was handed over by the company RECA NORM GmbH to the Protestant church community of Kupferzell on 21 July 2022. Thomas Häusele, spokesman of the management board, and fleet employee Michael Gehringer handed over the keys of the brand new vehicle to Raphael Häfele, the pastor of the evangelical parish of Kupferzell, and to the drivers of the senior citizens’ mobile.

Since 2007, the senior citizens’ mobile has been on the road as a community project for the senior citizens of the Kupferzell parish. The whole thing was made possible by the donation and maintenance of the vehicle by the company RECA NORM GmbH. Personnel costs are covered by donations and the nursing association of the Evangelical Parish of Kupferzell. The parish office in Kupferzell is responsible for the organisation.

The Kupferzell senior citizens’ mobile has become a permanent institution and is already in its fourth generation. The Caravelle VW bus is made available to the parish free of charge for trips by members of the nursing association. The aim is to improve the mobility of older people in Kupferzell so that they can live at home for longer.

The Seniorenmobil can be requested by telephone and picks up the senior citizens at home. This way, they arrive safely and on time for their appointments with the doctor, for Monday coffee at the deaconry, for lunch or for shopping. Around 65 to 70 people from Kupferzell use the Seniorenmobil every week. The senior citizens’ mobile is on the road for about 60 hours a month. It is perfectly equipped for the seniors with a retractable step, optimised handles, auxiliary heating for the cold season and much more.

The design was created by the marketing department of RECA NORM.

Theater im Fluss Künzelsau

As a local theatre association, Theater im Fluss Künzelsau e. V. has been promoting regional cultural activities close to our company headquarters in Kupferzell for years. Every year, the association stages open-air theatre in an idyllic setting at its home in Künzelsau, presenting plays of high literary and theatrical quality to its audience. In addition, Theater im Fluss Künzelsau e.V. has set itself the goal of inspiring young people to perform, training up-and-coming young talent and promoting cooperation and team spirit across age groups.

Since getting more people involved in cultural activities is a cause that is close to our heart, we have offered our support to the Theater im Fluss Künzelsau e. V. by donating a range of tools that can be used in stage construction, for example.
